FOOD SERVICE WORKER
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, prior food service experience, Suffolk County Food
Manager’s Certificate or ServSafe Certificate preferred and the ability to perform the duties outlined in the UPSEU Contract and the Suffolk County Civil Service job description.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
¨ Sets up counter for food service
¨ Serves food portions from steam table containers and from pre-measured cups and other dishes
¨ Handwash dishes stacks when completed; scrubs pots and other kitchen utensils by hand
¨ May collect money for school lunches and a la carte items
¨ Washes and prepares vegetables and assists cook with other food preparation duties
¨ Prepares and serves fast-food items
¨ Clears tables and cleans kitchen and dining area
