(1) SPANISH TEACHER
(.50 Milton L. Olive Middle School & .50 Wyandanch High School)
We are seeking a talented, dynamic, and innovative Spanish teacher who will inspire a passion for building students’ language acquisition through enjoyable and rigorous instruction. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to innovation and interdisciplinary curriculum development and in addition possess a passion for language acquisition through the differentiation of instruction and the development of exciting and
engaging programs. Candidate must also show eagerness to embrace an interdisciplinary approach while
collaborating with all stakeholders.
Duties include but are not limited to:
¨ Provide strong instruction to students aligned to NYS Standards at the M.L.O. Middle School and the Wyandanch Memorial High School
¨ Understanding the needs of multicultural students
¨ Develop & implement lesson plans that adhere to curriculum standards and teach Spanish language grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and culture
¨ Attend on-going professional learning
¨ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
¨ Valid NYS Spanish 7-12 Certification
¨ Dual Certification a plus
Immediate Supervisors: Building Principals of M.L.O. Middle School & Wyandanch High School
Locations: Milton L. Olive Middle School & Wyandanch Memorial High School
Duration: 2024-2025 School Year
Salary: Per WTA Contract
