Assistant Director of Central Enrollment and Integrated Student Services
Duties include but are not limited to:
¨ Under the direction of the Director of Pupil Personnel Services, supervise the Central Enrollment Office
¨ Provide direct and appropriate supervision over the enrollment/registration and attendance apparatus and reporting
¨ Establishing Central Enrollment Office protocols and procedures that will improve and modernize our current structure
¨ Supervise the Central Enrollment Specialists
¨ Collaborate with the attendance team and our McKinney Liaison
¨ Create and implement a trauma-informed enrollment procedure that will improve the overall school registration experience and make it more conducive for all families
¨ Exercise enrollment practices that are sensitive and culturally responsive
¨ Ensure compliance with enrollment laws consistent with the ESSA Act, McKinney Vento, and STH’s
¨ Act as a liaison between the school district, NYS, and community partnerships
¨ Create a resource center, as a preemptive initiative, within central registration to address parent, family, and student needs that often go unnoticed and unaddressed but become barriers to educating children after they are enrolled
¨ Provide preemptive support services to families enrolling their child/children within our district
¨ Create, develop, and implement enrichment programs designed to enhance relationships with school personnel and further connect all stakeholders to the district and school
¨ Conduct parent mediations
¨ Liaison between district and community
¨ Establish and/or oversee program initiatives specifically designed to address trauma related to poverty and families in
transition
¨ Collaborate with Central Administration, including the Assistant Superintendent of PPS & Special Education and the Director of PPS, and participate in the training/retraining process of staff involved with this department
¨ Continue to develop and implement systems and procedures along with the reorganization of the operation in a manner that will result in the removal and prevention of all non-compliance matters
¨ This is a 12-month administrative position
Qualifications:
NYS SDL Certification required; Experience in Community Outreach, Attendance, and Parent & Family Engagement
Preferred; Familiar with NYSED Attendance and Enrollment policies preferred; Bilingual Preferred.
