Milton L. Olive Middle School
Special Education Teacher
We are seeking a talented, dynamic, and innovative Special Education teacher who will provide specialized instruction and support to help students with disabilities overcome learning barriers and achieve academic, social, and emotional success. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to innovation and interdisciplinary differentiated instruction, behavior management and support, curriculum development and in addition possess a passion for language acquisition through the differentiation of instruction and the development of exciting and engaging programs. Candidate must also show eagerness to embrace an interdisciplinary approach while collaborating with all stakeholders
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Develop and teach engaging lessons that follow rigorous, Next Generation Standards aligned NYSED
curriculum and provide individual and small group instruction for students who require additional
academic support
· Differentiate instruction for all students
· Use formal and informal assessment data to drive instruction and ensure student mastery of standards
· Contribute to the development and implementation of students IEP’s, ongoing educational goals and
annual reviews
· Build a warm and inclusive environment for students
· Attend on-going professional learning
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
NYS Teacher Certification in Special Education in Grades 5-9, 7-12; Experience preferred

Duration: 2025-2026 School Year
Annual Salary: Per WTA Contract
