7-SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS

1 –SPEECH TEACHER

Duties Include but are not limited to:

SWD Teachers:   Teaching students with disabilities

Speech Teacher:  Rendering Speech services for students with disabilities and evaluations.

 

Qualifications: Teachers:  NYS SWD Teacher Certification Required;

Speech Teacher:  NYS Speech Teacher or Speech Pathologist Certification

Immediate Supervisors: Mrs. Rosalina Brown, Director of Special Education, Mrs. Dorothea Thompson-White, Extended School Year Program Supervisor

**Location: Western Suffolk BOCES-James E. Allen Alternative School, 31 Lee Avenue, Wheatley Heights, NY 11798

Effective Date: July 6, 2026

Duration: July 6, 2026 to August 14, 2026

Hours: 7:45am to 11:15am (Monday through Friday)

Stipend Rate: Per WTA Contract Hourly Rate of Pay
