2 SUMMER PROGRAM LEAD TEACHERS

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

While job duties vary, monitor and support the successful implementation of the academic summer school programs. Track and aggregate pre and post assessment data, conduct walk-throughs in classrooms to assess teaching and learning. Support and monitor the instructional delivery of curriculum in classrooms daily. Responsible for meeting with summer school staff to communicate instructional

expectations, instructional delivery and expected outcomes. Responsible for creating summer school schedules, room assignments and serve as transportation liaison for their perspective school sites. Monitor and support staff assigned to programs with meeting the overarching goal of improving

student outcomes and achievement.

 

Qualifications: New York State School Building Leader Certification

 Locations: 1 Lead Teacher for Lafrancis Hardiman Elementary School

                    1 Lead Teacher for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School

                  NO SUBSTITUTE!

Immediate Supervisors: Dr. Darlene White, Principal, Lafrancis Hardiman/Annex Elem. School 

                                          Dr. Monique Habersham, Principal, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elem. School

Effective Date: June 16, 2025

Duration: Duration of Lead Teacher Assignment:  June 16, 2025 to August 15, 2025 (M-F)

Program Duration: July 7, 2025 to August 14, 2025 (M-Th)

Hours: 8:30am to 12:30pm, Monday through Friday

Stipend: $55.00 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS: 

¨ NYS School District Administrative Certification Required

¨ NYS Teacher Certification in Physical Ed. & Health Required 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

¨  Supervise Physical Education & Health Teachers, School Nurses and other Health related staff

· Supervise all personnel involved in the interscholastic and intramural sports programs

¨ Selecting, training and supervising coaches, chaperones, timekeepers, scorekeepers and other game supervisors

¨ Creating, managing and proposing an annual budget

¨ Represents the District at the various interscholastic and intramural meetings as required, to assure compliance with all Board Policies pertaining to participation in the interscholastic and intramural sports programs

¨ Perform all other duties which may be required by the immediate supervisor
