SUBSTITUTE TEACHER AIDES

 

Qualifications:

· Teaching Assistants: NYS Teaching Assistant Certification

· Teacher Aides: High School Diploma

· Experience preferred

 Duties include but are not limited to:

Substitute Teaching Assistants:

Assist the classroom teacher in various routine activities and record keeping tasks; reinforce the instruction taught in the classroom to students. This can include going over lessons with students individually, answering questions or grading assignments. Supervise students and report progress regarding behavior to supervising teacher; exercise good judgement; reinforce teacher’s classroom procedures with tact and impartiality; arrange conferences with students; set up audio visual equipment; related duties as required. 

Substitute Teacher Aides:

Managing records, materials and equipment; attending to the physical needs of children; assisting students; performing other services as support duties as determined and supervised by the teacher.

Immediate Supervisor: School Principals

Duration: 2024-2025 School Year

Salary: Sub. Teaching Assistants:  $120.00 per day  

             Sub. Teacher Aides:  $116.00 per day
