RESPONSIBILITIES:

¨  Supervise Physical Education & Health Teachers, School Nurses and other Health related staff

· Supervise all personnel involved in the interscholastic and intramural sports programs

¨ Selecting, training and supervising coaches, chaperones, timekeepers, scorekeepers and other game supervisors

¨ Creating, managing and proposing an annual budget

¨ Represents the District at the various interscholastic and intramural meetings as required, to assure compliance with all Board Policies pertaining to participation in the interscholastic and intramural sports programs

¨ Perform all other duties which may be required by the immediate supervisor

Duties Include but are not limited to:

¨ Providing strong instruction to students as aligned to the NYS Standards for

     Technology

¨ Cooperating with building and district staff

¨ Maintaining accurate records of grades and attendance

¨ Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and instructional resources

¨ Approaching the position with a focus on equity:

Equity-based technology teaching requires more than implementing new

curriculum or using specific practices because it involves taking a stand for what is right. It requires technology teachers to reflect on their own identity, positions, and beliefs in regards to racist and

sorting-based mechanisms. It involves noticing students, learning about the worlds they live in, and integrating technology that comes from these worlds. And finally, it involves engaging other educators in partnerships to build equity-oriented communities, both in and outside of the Classroom.

 

Minimum

Qualifications: NYS Technology Education or Instructional Technology Certification, Bilingual preferred.

 

Requisite Skills: Strong Knowledge of Technology content and content area integration

Strong organizational and communication skills

Strong knowledge of digital platforms, including but not limited to Google Classroom

Ability to instruct students while managing behavior

We are seeking a talented, dynamic, and innovative Spanish teacher who will inspire a

passion for building students’ language acquisition through enjoyable and rigorous

instruction.  The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to innovation and

interdisciplinary curriculum development and in addition possess a passion for language

acquisition through the differentiation of instruction and the development of exciting and

engaging programs.  Candidate must also show eagerness to embrace an interdisciplinary

approach while collaborating with all stakeholders.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

¨ Provide strong instruction to students aligned to NYS Standards

¨ Understanding the needs of multicultural students

¨ Develop & implement lesson plans that adhere to curriculum standards and teach Spanish language grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary and culture

¨ Attend on-going professional learning

¨ Other duties as assigned

¨ Dual Certification a plus
