Location: As needed throughout the district

Salary: Substitute Security Guards:  $20.97/hour

Substitute Guards:  $17.00/hour

MAINTENANCE MECHANICS

  

Duties Include but not  limited to:  skilled mechanic in one of the major craft or specialty areas such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, electricity, mechanical and welding; heating and refrigeration, roofing. Perform related work as required.

 

Qualifications: Either completion of Vocational Education Courses in a

vocational school program minimum of 2 years experience preferred;  Valid NYS driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle to be operated,.

Duties include but are not limited to:  Under direct supervision, performs duties such as cutting grass and weeds using hand tools and lawn mowers, removes leaves, snow, salts and sands driveways and sidewalks, checks working condition of equipment, cultivates, prunes, sprays and trims trees and shrubbery, burlaps trees and ties sacks around the roots, measuring and lining of athletic fields, perform other related work as required by supervisor.

 

Qualifications: High School Diploma, valid NY State Driver  License, Groundskeeping experience preferred
