The Wyandanch Union Free School District is launching an innovative secondary Career and Technical Education (CTE) program that will empower students to explore career interest, develop workforce-ready skills, and build pathways to college, industry certifications, apprenticeships, and future careers. We are seeking two enthusiastic, innovative, and student-centered Middle School CTE Teachers to engage learners in hands-on, project-based experiences that connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities and future success.
Duties Include but are not limited to:
¨ Deliver engaging, hands-on Career and Technical Education instruction to middle school students
¨ Develop and implement project-based learning experiences aligned with NYS CTE standards
¨ Introduce students to various career pathways and workforce-readiness skills
¨ Foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
¨ Integrate technology and industry-relevant practices into instruction
¨ Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
¨ Assess student growth and maintain accurate records
¨ Collaborate with administrators, teachers, families and community partners
¨ Participate in professional development and district initiatives
¨ Perform other duties as assigned by administration
Minimum Qualifications:
¨ NYS CTE Certification in any approved content area; OR eligibility for Transitional CTE Certification; OR
occupational experience qualifying for CTE Certification.
¨ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with middle school students
¨ Strong communication, organizational and classroom management skills
¨ Experience in skilled trades, IT, computer science, engineering, business, media production, culinary arts, health sciences, FACS, construction, or manufacturing
¨ Industry professionals seeking to transition into education are encouraged to apply

Salary: Per WTA Contract
